PSCC Annual Haul-out Auction

It’s time for the annual PSCC haul out and bottom paint auction!  Every boat needs a haul out and bottom paint from time-to-time.  Support your club and bid on this year’s gift certificate from CSR Marine.  Here are the details:

  • Free haul and block
  • Free pressure wash
  • Free lay days (3)
  • 20% off bottom paint labor and materials
  • Discounts applied up to 36 feet. Boats over 36 feet receive the maximum discount at 36′.

Auction rules:

  1. Minimum bid is $500
  2. All auction bids must be submitted by midnight Pacific time on 3/31/2023.
  3. Submit your bid to Andy at direction09@gmail.com. In the subject line of your bid please use “PSCC 2023 haul out auction bid”
  4. The winner will be notified in early April. Payment by check or PayPal must be received by PSCC within 10 days of notification of winning bid.
  5. In the event of two equal bids, the first one received shall be selected as the winner.
  6. This auction is open to all PSCC members. If you are not currently a member, you can join PSCC for a $50 lifetime membership.

PSCC March Meeting: Recreational Boating Association of WA, “The Voice of Northwest Boating”

Please join us in person Friday, March 17th at 7:00pm at the Puget Sound Yacht Club for our monthly club meeting and presentation. Andrea Pierantozzi, Vice President of the Recreational Boating Association of Washington (and avid PNW boater) will speak to us about RBAW’s history and what they’re working on to amplify the voice of the recreational boater and create boating opportunities. RBAW has been involved in NW boating for over 60 years, their first act was to buy Sucia Island in the SJI’s before it was developed as private vacation cabins – and donated it to the state to become a marine park to be enjoyed for generations. RBAW is a volunteer, membership organization.

The meeting will be held at our new location at the Puget Sound Yacht Club. Zoom is also available for those unable to attend in-person.

Meetings are held every third Friday of the month at the Puget Sound Yacht Club. The meeting is open to all, but we do ask for a $5 donation at the door to help pay for the venue and club expenses. Zoom attendees can make a donation by Paypal or credit/debit card here. We look forward to seeing you there!

PSCC Cruise to Brownsville (Mar 31 – Apr 2)

The March cruise is to Brownsville Marina the weekend of Mar 31 – Apr 2 (moved back a week from original calendar due to marina availability).  Charlie O’Hern on SV Tangent is cruise leader and has reserved 6 slips so there should be plenty of room for everyone who is able to come. The guest moorage rate is $1.50/ft plus $4.00/day for power.

Although there is a good deli at the marina, Brownsville does not have a town with restaurants so we will be on our own for meals.  There is an activity shelter where we can have a potluck dinner on Saturday evening and perhaps a followup brunch Sunday morning.

On this weekend the ebb tides are in the afternoon, so to arrive via Rich Passage or Agate Pass the currents are most favorable around noon.
