PSCC Meeting January 16th – Cary and Tom on S/V Dragon’s Toy

We have fun speakers with quite a story, Cary and Tom on s/v Dragon’s Toy for the January PSCC meeting.  Don’t miss this one!

Tom purchased the Dragon’s Toy, an Island Packet 37 cutter rigged sloop, in Hong Kong in 1996.  He sailed the boat through out Asia and down to Australia.  He then shipped it back to the US in 2001 and off loaded in Vancouver, WA.  Cary had been blue water sailing in Mexico since 2006.  Tom and Cary met in 2009 in Panama delivering a friend’s boat from Panama to Florida.  From 2009 until  2019 Tom and Cary participated in the Baja HaHa in 2010, 2014, 2018.  In 2011 they sailed down the west coast of Central America and through the Panama Canal.  From there they went west to San Blas Islands then north to Maine, back to Virginia to participate in the Salty Dawg Rally going from Norfolk VA to the Virgin Islands.  In 2014 they sailed Dragon’s Toy to Seabrook, TX where it was trucked back to the West Coast.

They have had lots of adventures and have tips you just can’t get, without being out there. . .
